History of Kewadin Casino Sault Ste. Marie

The Kewadin Tribe of Indians of Michigan first opened a casino in Sault Ste. Marie in 1994. The casino was originally located on the grounds of the tribe’s Sault Ste. Marie Reservation. In 2007, the tribe opened a new casino on the site of the former Sault Ste. Marie Greyhound Racetrack. The new casino is larger and more modern than the original casino.
