What is a Craps Table Layout?

A craps table layout is a diagram that shows the different betting options available on a craps table. It is typically divided into two main sections: the betting area and the layout area. The betting area is where players place their bets. The layout area is where the dice are rolled and the results of the roll are determined. The betting area is divided into several different sections, each of which has its own set of betting options. The most common betting options are:

  • Pass line bet: This is the simplest bet to make in craps. It is a bet that the shooter will roll a 7 or 11 on their first roll, or that they will roll a 2, 3, or 12 on their first roll (which is called a “craps”). If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, the pass line bet wins. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, the pass line bet loses. If the shooter rolls any other number, the pass line bet is “off” and the shooter must roll that number again in order to win the bet.
  • Come bet: This is a bet that the shooter will roll a 7 before they roll a 7 or 11. It is similar to the pass line bet, but it is made after the shooter has rolled their first number.
  • Don’t pass bet: This is a bet that the shooter will not roll a 7 or 11 on their first roll, or that they will roll a 2, 3, or 12 on their first roll (which is called a “craps”). If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, the don’t pass bet loses. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, the don’t pass bet wins. If the shooter rolls any other number, the don’t pass bet is “off” and the shooter must roll that number again in order to win the bet.
  • Place bet: This is a bet on a specific number to be rolled before a 7 is rolled. The payout for a place bet is different depending on the number that is bet on.
  • Field bet: This is a bet on any number from 2 to 12 to be rolled. The payout for a field bet is the same regardless of which number is rolled.
  • Big 6 and Big 8 bets: These are bets on the numbers 6 and 8 to be rolled before a 7 is rolled. The payout for these bets is the same as for a place bet on those numbers.
  • Small 5 and 9 bets: These are bets on the numbers 5 and 9 to be rolled before a 7 is rolled. The payout for these bets is the same as for a place bet on those numbers. The layout area is where the dice are rolled and the results of the roll are determined. The layout area is divided into two sections: the come-out roll area and the point area. The come-out roll area is where the dice are rolled on the first roll of each new betting round. The results of the come-out roll determine which bets are paid out and which bets are lost. The point area is where the dice are rolled after the come-out roll. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll, the point is 7 or 11. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12 on the come-out roll, the point is 2, 3, or 12. If the shooter rolls any other number on the come-out roll, that number becomes the point. The shooter must roll the point number again before rolling a 7 in order to win the bet. If the shooter rolls a 7 before rolling the point number, they lose the bet.

Different Types of Craps Table Layouts

There are two main types of craps table layouts: American and European. The main difference between the two layouts is the number of “off” positions on the layout. In an American craps table layout, there are seven “off” positions: 5, 9, 4, 10, 6, 8, and 11. In a European craps table layout, there are only six “off” positions: 5, 9, 4, 10, 6, and 8. The “off” positions are the numbers that cannot be rolled on the come-out roll. If a shooter rolls one of these numbers on the come-out roll, the pass line bet loses and
