What is Craps Layout?
Craps is a casino game played with two dice. The goal of the game is to roll a combination of numbers that add up to 7 or 11, which is called a “natural.” If you roll a 2, 3, or 12, you lose immediately, and this is called a “craps out.” If you roll any other number, it becomes your “point.” You must continue to roll the dice until you either roll your point again or roll a 7, which is called a “seven out.” If you roll your point again, you win. If you roll a seven out, you lose. The craps layout is a table that shows the different bets that can be made on the game. The layout is divided into two main sections: the “pass line” and the “don’t pass line.” The pass line is the most common bet, and it is made on the premise that the shooter will roll a natural. The don’t pass line is made on the premise that the shooter will not roll a natural.
The Pass Line Bet
The pass line bet is the simplest bet in craps. To make a pass line bet, you simply place your chips on the pass line. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, you win even money. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, you lose your bet. If the shooter rolls any other number, it becomes your “point.” You must continue to roll the dice until you either roll your point again or roll a 7. If you roll your point again, you win. If you roll a 7, you lose. The pass line bet has a house edge of 1.41%. This means that for every $100 you bet on the pass line, you can expect to lose $1.41 on average.
The Don’t Pass Line Bet
The don’t pass line bet is the opposite of the pass line bet. To make a don’t pass line bet, you simply place your chips on the don’t pass line. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, you lose even money. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, you win your bet. If the shooter rolls any other number, it becomes your “point.” You must continue to roll the dice until you either roll a 7 or roll your point again. If you roll a 7, you win. If you roll your point again, you lose. The don’t pass line bet has a house edge of 1.36%. This means that for every $100 you bet on the don’t pass line, you can expect to lose $1.36 on average.
Other Bets on the Craps Layout
In addition to the pass line and don’t pass line bets, there are a number of other bets that can be made on the craps layout. These bets include:
- Come bet: The come bet is similar to the pass line bet, but it is made after the shooter has rolled their first dice. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, you win even money. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, you lose your bet.
