ShowTime Fight !! Ready to watch Jaron Ennis v Sergey Lipinets Live stream online for free, Welterweight both won on Friday for their 12-rounds main card.
With the top end of the loaded welterweight division somewhat stalled, Jaron wants to give Ennis a bit of life at 147 pounds and make a statement that he is a title contender at the moment.
Ennis will take the biggest step of his career on Saturday night when he takes on rugged veteran Sergey Lipinets at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut (9 p.m. ET, Showtime
Ennis (26-0, 24 KO) comes out of a disappointing fight with Chris van Heerden in December. Ennis made easy work of van Heerden, but a head clash in the late stages of the opening round caused a nasty cut on van Heerden’s forehead, resulting in a doctor’s interruption and a no-contest.
Prior to that fight, Ennis had held back 16 consecutive opponents as he established himself as one of boxing’s elite prospects in a division where there is no shortage of big names.
In Lipinets (16-1, 12 KO), Ennis is faced with the stiffest test of his career. Lipinets has only lost once in his career, a 2018 defeat to Mikey Garcia. Lipinets lost the IBF Super Lightweight Championship in that bout, but came out as a more respected fighter than he entered after pushing Garcia into perhaps the toughest fight of his career to date.
Lipinets have gone 3-0-1 since the loss to Garcia, recently battling Custio Clayton, a late substitute for the fight, against a draw. The Clayton fight reminded us that Lipinets has limitations as a fighter and is a step below the very strong elite low at welterweight. Still, he is a skilled hunter who tends to force hunters into uncomfortable situations and the occasional war they may not have expected.

Because as good as Lipinets is what he does, he’s one step below the top at 147 pounds. Ennis, meanwhile, has real elite skills. Ennis has speed, strength, technique and intangibles that set him apart as a potential contender in one of boxing’s deepest divisions today.
Lipinets doesn’t have many roads to victory unless he can somehow make Ennis so uncomfortable that Ennis can’t use all the resources at his disposal. That doesn’t seem likely and this could turn into a surprisingly short night of work if Ennis is rolling fast, which he does very often
