New Amsterdam Season 3 comes in March, 11 months after the last season of the NBC medical drama that aired. Like medical dramas Grey’s Anatomy and The good doctor before that, the show will see how the hospital team is dealing with the coronavirus outbreak – though that probably won’t get in the way of Max’s (played by Ryan Eggold) personal drama and the rest of the New Amsterdam medical staff.

The synopsis of this first episode, entitled ‘The New Normal’, reads: ‘New Amsterdam is still reeling from the pandemic as a plane crashes into the East River. When investigators come to question the flight crew, Iggy fights time to help the pilot uncover the truth. Max tracks down scarce medication after one of his own COVID contracts. ”
The other episodes of the season are broadcast weekly on Tuesdays in the same time slot. So far, NBC has not announced the number of episodes for the new season – the first season has 22 episodes, while the pandemic is reducing the second season to 18 episodes. Viewers may expect a similar order of 18 episodes for Season 3 as the show starts much later than usual in the year.
How to watch New Amsterdam Season 3 online
Like an NBC show, New Amsterdam comes to NBCUniversal’s new streaming service, Peacock. Every episode of the medical drama comes to Peacock the day after it airs on NBC – that is, Wednesday morning. Episodes are expected to be released at 3:00 p.m. ET. They are also expected to be available to watch online on the NBC website and app, as well as on Hulu on March 2.
Peacock is also the only streaming service to have both of the show’s first two seasons, where they are both available to watch on the Peacock’s free tier with ads.
Fans who are moving fast can also watch Season 2 on Hulu, although the episodes will start to run out from then on. Episodes one through 14 will leave the streamer on March 3 and the remaining episodes will disappear in the coming weeks.
