Shyamalan and stars Rupert Grint, Lauren Ambrose, Nell Tiger Free among others in pivotal roles.
3. Lakshya – Amazon Prime Video
One of Hrithik Roshan’s best performances was in 2004 as Karan Shergill, a spoiled child with no purpose in life who one day decides to join the Indian Armed Forces to prove a point. How the military and training are shaping his life to a point where he fights for the country on the front line years later is what makes Lakshya a truly inspiring watch. All the actors in the movie – Preity Zinta, Boman Irani and Ranvir Shorey – are brilliant in their roles and director Farhan Akhtar does a great job with the story.
4. The morning show – Apple TV
A show that earned Jennifer Aniston an Emmy nomination for her role as Morning Show anchor Alex Levey, The morning show is about a network that goes through the ringers when a leading anchor is accused of sexual misconduct. The show is classy, quite intense, and powered by some great performances from the cast. The morning show stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Mark Duplass, Billy Crudup and Steve Carrell in lead roles.
5. The Boys – Amazon Prime
You have your ideal ‘can-never-do-anything-wrong’ superheroes in the Marvel and DC universes and then you have superheroes or supes in The boys that are as grounded and complicated as they should be. They are responsible for collateral damage and it almost always seems like the world is better without them. The boys is raw, gory and extremely enjoyable in the first two seasons and anyone who hasn’t seen it yet can get on the cart right away. The boys stars Karl Urban, Anthony Starr, Erin Moriarty and Jack Quaid in lead roles.
