5 shows and movies on Voot Select, Netflix and BookMyShow Stream to watch today
1. Wonder Woman 1984 – BookMyShow stream
The sequel to the blockbuster hit Wonder Woman, the story of the Amazon Princess takes a time leap and we meet her in the revolutionary eighties. This time, the world is threatened by a greedy businessman who dreams of fulfilling everyone’s wishes. This leads to a chaotic world that Wonder Woman has to stop. She also has to fight her nemesis The Cheetah with SNL comedian Kirsten Wiig playing the antagonist perfectly. Wonder Woman 1984 also stars Gal Gadot and Pedro Pascal in lead roles.
2. Your Honor – Voot Select
Who wouldn’t love a show from Bryan Cranston that reminded them a lot of his Walter White character? Your honor stars the talented actor as a respected judge who is willing to go to extremes to hide his son’s hit-and-run. In the process, he opens a can of worms that raises the stakes a lot more than he expected. The reviews of the show have been very positive and it is definitely a show for you to enjoy.
3. Kim’s Convenience – Netflix
Like it Schitt’s Creek, Kim’s Convenience is another Canadian show that really struck a chord with audiences. The story follows a Korean-Candian family in Toronto who run a convenience store. Although they deal with customers on a daily basis, they inadvertently evolve with the world around them. Kim’s Convenience is healthy and a perfect show to watch while relaxing after a hard day.
4. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil – Voot Select
although Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is certainly not the director’s best work, it still makes for a well-trademarked Karan Johar mushiness. The story begins when Ayan (Ranbir Kapoor) meets Alizeh (Anushka Sharma) at a nightclub. While Ayan is smitten with Alizeh, she only considers him a friend. From there, the duo goes through an emotional journey of heartbreak, love and tragedy while vowing never to leave each other.
5. The White Tiger – Netflix
An adaptation of Arvind Adiga’s novel of the same name, which won the Booker Prize, The white tiger stars Adarsh Gourav, Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao in central roles. The story follows the meteoric rise of a small-town man who is adamant about making it big at any cost.
