Who doesn’t love Jennifer Aniston? The first actor from Friends To be honored with a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, her career took a huge boom with her performance of Rachel Green on the hit sitcom. Her portrait of Rachel was so iconic that she created a style influencer from scratch when the concept didn’t even exist.
There are many things we remember Rachel Green for. With the recent announcement of the Friends reunion, you may be tempted to go through the show (again), but can we interest you in other movies that Jennifer Aniston has been in? If you have to be blown away by her amazing performances why get stuck with the dated show that couldn’t even decide if Rachel & Ross were on hiatus.
Add the following movies to your list for your Jennifer Aniston themed movie marathon plans.
The bounty hunter
It helps that both Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler are as likable as actors, because it can be too tough for us to hate each other as exes. In The bounty hunter, an action comedy with a divorced couple, neither of them is better off than the other. They are both at their wits end and at the end of their grace.
If you have nothing left to lose, why not just take on a job to make your ex-wife pay, right, folks? The charm of the movie doesn’t lie in the action – it’s somehow sexually charged yet freezing – so we’ve got these two actors to make us like the characters Milo and Nicole. In a refreshing change of pace, neither claim any kind of moral superiority.
The kind of harsh criticism The bounty hunter you would think that the actors are just as unlucky as their on-screen characters, but their on-screen personas are rather upbeat, snappy and fallible … the perfect recipe for a lovable character
We are the Millers
How would you like to fool the border police into smuggling drugs? Not with the millers. A budding petty marijuana trader decides he will take on a larger, cross-border job because he needs the money. So he ropes in his neighbors and a runaway to play the part of his family. Not only has the movie given us the best meme format of all time, it has also brought together some of the funniest actors.
It’s jam-packed with star cast: Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts, Will Poulter, Nick Offerman, Kathryn Hahn, Molly Quinn and Ed Helms all put their quirks into this crime comedy. Neither the crime nor the comedy is too strong, whether that’s a good thing, we’ll leave it up to you to decide.
Jennifer Aniston showing off her mean streak? If that doesn’t pique your interest, we don’t know what will. Jennifer has a thing for starred comedy movies. In this case, we have Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey and Jamie Foxx.
Terrible bosses doesn’t play it safe with his black comedy, which explains why many jokes offend audiences for their racist, homophobic, or misogynistic nature, but Jennifer holds her own while Dr. Julia Harris, a sexually aggressive boss of his assistant, played by Charlie Day.
Marley and me
A movie about a dog? We are already sold. Marley & I. explores how a couple’s dynamics change after adopting a free-spirited dog, Marley. As depicted, we should feel that there are lessons about the kind of parents John and Jennifer would become, their general compatibility as parents, and a dog’s role in a person’s life.
Owen Wilson & Jennifer Aniston have left quite a mark with their performances in Marley & I., as they make us laugh and cry during the two hours.
