The previous episode ended up with Shadow in a precarious situation. After his key broke in his lock, he decided to break into his own place. That led to someone holding a gun to his neck.
If we open this first episode, chances are we’ll find out who that person is. Will it be the cop who dropped him off? Is there anyone else in town who wants to get revenge on Shadow?
It is certainly strange in this city. The woman at the convenience store (who still has videos for rent due to the spotty Wi-Fi) clearly knew Shadow before even saying his name. That has to come sometime in the season. Will it be in the second episode already?
What to Expect from American Gods Season 3, Episode 2
The promo gives us an idea of what to expect during the episode. When Shadow gets out of his current situation, he receives an invitation to a party. Not everyone wants him at that party.
Will he have to fight for his life? This won’t be the first time, but how many lives does Odin’s son actually have?
And then there’s Bilquis, who’s up to something. She has refused to join Ms. World and has done something with Technical Boy. What’s next? Which side does she actually sit on?
