Tracy Byrd is an American country music singer and songwriter. He has released 12 studio albums, charted 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and has won two Academy of Country Music Awards and one Country Music Association Award. Byrd’s best-known songs include “The Keeper of the Stars”, “Holdin’ Heaven”, “Watermelon Crawl”, and “I’m Gonna Love You Anyway”.

Byrd was born in Beaumont, Texas, on January 26, 1966. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and started writing songs at the age of 14. Byrd moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1988 to pursue a career in music. He signed with MCA Records in 1991 and released his debut album, Tracy Byrd, in 1992. The album produced the singles “The Keeper of the Stars” and “Holdin’ Heaven”, both of which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Byrd released his second album, No Ordinary Man, in 1994. The album produced the singles “Watermelon Crawl” and “I’m Gonna Love You Anyway”, both of which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Byrd’s third album, Love Lessons, was released in 1996. The album produced the singles “Walkin’ in Memphis” and “The Truth About Men”, both of which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Byrd released his eighth album, The Love Songs, in 2005. Byrd’s ninth album, The Byrd That Was, Vol. 2, was released in 2007. Byrd released his tenth album, Live at Billy Bob’s Texas, in 2009. Byrd’s eleventh album, Greatest Hits, Vol. 2, was released in 2011.
