Tisca Chopra has always been versatile and has done many things. From actor to producer to director to talk show host to author, she’s done pretty much everything. After the enormous success of her directorial debut, the short film Rubaru, she is now going to direct a feature film. She plans to start shooting by the end of 2024.
Speaking of wearing multiple hats, Tisca says, “I ask myself the same question. It could be because I get bored easily, or maybe because I get differing ideas about many things that require different platforms. However, I enjoy the fact that I can switch from one thing to another completely. I enjoyed directing Rubaru and now I’m really looking forward to directing my first feature film by the end of the year. Writing comes naturally to me, and I feel I am privileged that my publishers have trusted me and continue to give me the opportunity to write. Acting is of course my mainstay, my bread and butter. So yes, luckily I have had the chance to dabble in a lot of things. I seem to carry the energy for all of them, and I enjoy them all, so why not do them all?!”
