Thiruttu-VCD Movie

Thiruttu is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by K. S. Ravikumar and produced by J. Mahendran. The film stars Rajinikanth, Meena, Kushboo, and Raghuvaran, with Vadivelu, Manorama, Sivakumar, and Senthil appearing in supporting roles. The film’s score and soundtrack were composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Thiruttu was released on 10 June 1993. Plot Kavitha (Meena), a young woman from a conservative Brahmin family, is in love with a lower caste man named Raja (Rajinikanth). Her father (Sivakumar) disapproves of their relationship and forbids Kavitha from meeting Raja. Kavitha and Raja decide to elope. However, Raja’s friend (Senthil) betrays them and informs Kavitha’s father about their plan. Kavitha’s father sends goons to stop Raja and Kavitha from eloping. Raja and Kavitha manage to escape from the goons, but they are caught in a storm. Raja saves Kavitha from drowning, but he is washed away by the waves. Kavitha is devastated and believes that Raja is dead. She returns home and marries her father’s choice of groom, a wealthy man named Raghu (Raghuvaran). A few years later, Raja returns to Chennai. He is now a wanted criminal. He meets Kavitha again and is shocked to learn that she is married. Raja tries to win Kavitha’s love, but she refuses to leave her husband. Raja is arrested by the police and sentenced to life imprisonment. Raja escapes from prison and goes on a killing spree. He kills all the people who have wronged him, including Kavitha’s father. Kavitha is devastated by Raja’s actions and begs him to stop. Raja refuses and tells Kavitha that he will not stop until he has killed everyone who has wronged him. Raja is eventually captured by the police and sentenced to death. Kavitha visits Raja in prison and tells him that she still loves him. Raja is executed, but Kavitha is still haunted by his memory.
