The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5 is on its way to a great encounter. Earlier we saw Sam and James take Zemo out of prison to help them research the Super-Soldier Serum. In their search they go to Madripoor where they meet Sharon Carter. She has become quite self-reliant for her own good. So through her they are able to triangulate on Wilfred Nagel, the one who produced the batches of Super-Soldier Serum. But when people are targeting them, Zemo kills him while four of them run away from the bunker. To find the Flag-Smasher, Karli Morgenthau, Sam, James and Zemo try to find Donya Madani’s monument. Donya Madani was the woman who took care of Karli Morgenthau who had recently passed away. During their search, James recognizes some black orbs and realizes that Ayo was watching them.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 4 Recap
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 4 entitled “The Whole World Is Watching” opens with a flashback to James Barnes’ time of recovery in Wakanda. Here, Ayo helps him get rid of Zemo’s hold on him and let him be a free man. Currently, Ayo follows James while he and Sam freed Zemo. Zemo was the one responsible for the death of their king T’Chakka. She and the Wakandans cannot let him run free and so give James eight hours before taking him under their wing.
On their quest to find Karli Morgenthau, Zemo comes out on top when he bribes some kids with treats to get on their good side. While doing so, one of them leads the trio to the monument. They are accompanied by John Walker (Captain America) and Lemar Hoskins (Battlestar). Sam decides to speak to Karli alone because he believes he understands their side and that he can talk her through. Although it appears as if Sam was successful in his attempt, John Walker becomes restless when he intervenes in their conversation, sparking an argument. While Karli tries to run, Zemo grabs her while destroying most of the serums before being picked up by John Walker. Here he sees the last bottle of the Super-Soldier Serum that he keeps for himself.
When they return to Zemo’s house, Ayo and the Dora Milaje enter to arrest Zemo. Walker refuses to hand him over to them. This begins a fight in which the Dora Milaje humiliates John Walker while Zemo escapes them. The humiliation John Walker faced was probably more than enough to inject himself with the serum.
John Walker’s Rage
Karli feels that Sam was genuine, but also suspects that he worked under Captain America. To dispel her suspicion, she threatens Sam’s sister, Sarah, so that he can meet him alone. Sam, who feared for the lives of his sister and cousins, forces him to meet Karli with James next to him. While they meet, Karli tries to convince Sam Wilson to join them. But at that point, Sharon informs Sam about the movements of John Walker Lemar Hoskins. They were on their way to a Flag-Smasher base to take them down. As soon as they find out, Sam, James and Karli go to see them.
Here’s another battle pitting the Falcon, The Winter Soldier, Captain America and Battlestar against the Flag-Smashers. During this, Kareli accidentally ends up killing Hoskins. So enraged at the death of his friend and partner, Walker goes on a rampage when he catches flag killer Nico and slaps his head with the shield in front of the horrified onlookers filming his actions.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5 Preview
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5 will follow the damage John Walker just did. For John Walker, it seems difficult to be the symbol of the nation and fight terrorist groups at the same time, as it’s clearly not everyone’s cup of tea. We all know how John Walker was in the military and there he fought against armies in Afghanistan alongside Lemar Hoskins. Being part of the military, it was only natural that John Walker’s go-to move would be to kill a Flag-Smasher to avenge his late partner. But if you’ve done it in front of the audience in the Captain America persona, that doesn’t paint a good picture. Onironically, his actions have affected the shield with the blood of the man he killed. Presumably John has already injected himself with the Super-Soldier Serum and only time will tell if he regrets or is fueled by his actions.
In the upcoming episode we will see more of the relationship between Sam and James. First, they could fight John Walker in the form of a Mexican stalemate. Now this is uncertain whether they can retrieve the shield from him or not as the shield is seen later in the trailer in the hands of both John Walker and Sam Wilson. John Walker seems to run into the Flag-Smashers on the street while Sam and James seem to have gone back to Louisiana to Sam’s sister’s house. Here it appears that Sam is training with the shield in final preparation to take on the Flag-Smashers. Only time will tell if there is an extra shield or if it will be passed on during the episode. But Isaiah Bradley’s legacy certainly appears to have an impact on Sam’s future decisions to take on the Captain America mantle.
The set-up for the last meeting was very exciting. In the trailer for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5, we see the Flag-Smashers quite literally circling in an event. This event has not yet been confirmed, but the storyline can predict it to be the GRC (Global Repatriation Council). They are the organization that kicked them out of their new homes and are considered the villain from the Flag Clipper perspective. This episode will undoubtedly contain some action scenes with The Falcon, The Winter Soldier, Captain America and The Flag-Smashers. Tune in to the episode to see who comes out on top. In addition, we may even see Zemo make an appearance with his iconic mask.
An engaging aspect of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5 seems to be the cameo. The show’s lead writer, Malcolm Spellman, revealed that episode 5 is the one he has shown most enthusiastically to fans. According to him, this episode is getting real and someone can cry. This cameo character hasn’t been revealed yet, but apparently it hasn’t appeared in the MCU so far. We can only predict who this mysterious character will be. Elsewhere, we are still trying to discover the identity of the Power Broker, while also waiting for a performance from Kevin Feige. In an interview with Indian YouTuber, Ashish Chanchalani, Anthony Mackie revealed how Kevin Feige would have his acting debut on the show. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Kevin Feige’s character will be the cameo Malcolm mentioned Spellman.
