The Batman will have more practical effects than CGI, reveals Jeffrey Wright – Designer Women

The first trailer for ‘The Batman’ caused quite a stir on the internet and only increased curiosity and expectations for the adaptation, directed by Matt Reeves.

And it seems that the filmmaker is willing to use as little computer effects as possible in the production.

In an interview with Sirius XM Radio, Jeffrey Wright, an interpreter for Commissioner Gordon, said the director was using practical effects instead of CGI.

Reeves is doing everything he can with practical effect. If I’m not mistaken, there isn’t even a computer generated image in the trailer for “The Batman”. Everything was real. In fact, one of the scenes was shot in March, when we were last on set before the pandemic.

He went on to say that the movie will be a great research thriller:

“We are very surprised at what we do. When I read the script I was already very excited about this plot that I was researching. Fans will see intense, dark excitement and discover why Batman is the greatest detective in comics. Gary Oldman once said that Batman and Gordon are just like Sherlock and Watson, I couldn’t define this duo better.

According to Walter Hamada, the director of DC films, “The Batman” takes place on a different earth and is not part of the DCEU.

“In the multiverse there is an Earth with the version of Justice League with Gal [Gadot], Jason [Momoa] and Ezra [Miller], and another with Pattinson’s Batman ”.

As a result, franchises will not have a crossover and will follow different paths.

Recalling that “The Batman” will be released on October 1, 2021.

In addition to Robert Pattinson, the cast includes Andy Serkis (Alfred), Zoe Kravitz (Catwoman), Paul Dano (Charade), Jeffrey Wright (Commissioner Gordon), John Turturro (Carmine Falcone), Peter Skarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, Gil Perez-Abraham and brothers Max and Charlie Carver.

The plot will focus on Bruce Wayne developing his detective skills.

“THIS NEW BATMAN MUST MEET A DEFINED AGE RANGE. HE IS DESCRIBED AS A YOUNG MAN ABOUT 30 YEARS OLD AND THE STORY WILL NOT FOCUS ON HIS ORIGIN OR HIS BATTLE WITH CRIME IN GOTHAM CITY. HE IS BRUCE WAYNE, ALWAYS TRY TO FIND A WAY TO BECOME THIS GENERAL DETECTIVE.

It was to be expected that this new take on the character would set itself apart from the clichés of previous films, which often treated him more like a vigilante than an investigator and that only increases curiosity about what kind of movie is doing. Matt Reeves.
