Tandav is a political drama in which Saif Ali Khan plays the emerging evil leader Samar Pratap Singh and Zeeshan plays the role of a university leader who represents the group of students fighting for rights and inequality. Saif wants to become prime minister after the death of his father. It appears that his father was murdered by one of the party members Anuradha, played by Dimple Kapadia, because she also wants to be prime minister. Actor Tigmanshu Dhulia plays Devki Nandan, the father of Samar. He is the prime minister of the country and believes his son (Saif) will end democracy when he comes to power.
