History
Sam’s Town Casino Shreveport was opened in 1993. It was the first casino to open in Shreveport since the passage of the Mississippi River Gaming Compact in 1990. The casino was originally owned by Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, which was acquired by Harrah’s Entertainment in 1999. Harrah’s Entertainment was acquired by Caesars Entertainment in 2005.
