Producer Sajid Nadiadwala honored the memory of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput by dedicating him an award he won for his film Chhichhore.

The Rajput starrer recently won the Favorite Bollywood Movie Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020
To note, Chhichhore remains the last theatrical release for Rajput, Die passed away in June last year.

Chhichhore was directed by Nitesh Tiwari, and also starred actors Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma in key roles, among others.

‘Chhichhore’ was about never giving up on life
Chhichhore told the story of Anni (Rajput), whose teenage son Raghav tries to take his own life after failing a technical entrance exam.
To teach Raghav the true meaning of life, Anni tells him about his own journey from a “loser” in college to where he is today.
For this, he enlists the help of his college friends and his ex-wife.
‘Chhichhore’ turned out to be a super hit
Chhichhore proved to be a critical and commercial success, with more than Rs. 150 crore in the domestic market.
The film was praised for its story and Rajput was widely appreciated for its performance.
In our review of Chhichhore back in 2019, we had written“Despite its formulaic approach, the film still manages to be engaging and fun.”
Rajput’s untimely death shocked the whole country
Rajput was found dead in his hometown in Mumbai on June 14, 2020.
Although his death was labeled a suicide after a preliminary investigation by the Mumbai police, the case has now been taken over by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Furthermore, the Enforcement Department (ED) and the Bureau for Narcotics Control (NCB) are investigating respectively the money laundering and drug corners in the case.
His last movie was ‘Dil Bechara’
Starting out as a TV actor, Rajput transitioned into a career in film with a role in the acclaimed drama Kai Po Che!, which brought more people to notice of his talent.
He is the last with star in the romantic movie Dil Bechara opposite Sanjana Sanghi, who streamed on Disney + Hotstar about a month after his death.
