When season 2 of The Mandalorian ended and reports surfaced that the series was coming to an end, it broke the hearts of die-hard Star Wars fans. In months, however, the tables turned and the filming of Season 3 of The Mandalorian hit a hyperspeed button. The third season has started filming.
Currently, several rumors surround The Mandalorian’s third season. Some of the notable rumors are that the iconic characters like Wookies will return. In addition, Rian Johnson, the director of The Last Jedi, was responsible for directing an episode.
The Mandalorian Season 3: release date
At the time of writing, the third season has not yet received a release date. However, Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, revealed on Disney Investor Day that the third chapter in the series would arrive sometime in Christmas 2024 or early 2024.
Filming for Season 3 of The Mandalorian began on April 5, 2024. Filming for Season 3 will be completed in a few months or three. In addition, the next season’s post-production will last six months or more at the earliest.
The Mandalorian Season 3: Plot and Episode Details
The second season finale opened doors to unprecedented possibilities when Luke Skywalker appeared and took Grogu under his helm. The question remains, now that Mando is alone, will he return to the bounty hunt or settle down as a sheriff on Navarro with Greef and Cara?
There is another important aspect that the third season will explore, the user for Dark Saber. Will the other bounty hunters try to take the dark saber or lead a rebellion to free Mandalore of what’s left of the realm?
The Mandalorian Season 3: Will Pedro Pascal returns for the third season
Previously, Pascal said he is leaving the role of Mando to play in The Last of Us. But after the negotiations, Pascal returns as Mando and would provide the voice-over.
