History
Red Shores Racetrack & Casino was originally known as Charlottetown Driving Park. The track opened in 1966 and was the first thoroughbred racetrack in Prince Edward Island. The track was owned and operated by the Charlottetown Driving Park Commission.
In 1993, the casino opened at Red Shores Racetrack. The casino was owned and operated by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation. In 2005, the casino was sold to Gateway Casinos & Entertainment.
In 2015, Red Shores Racetrack & Casino was renamed to its current name. The track and casino are now owned and operated by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.
