Ever since the announcement of R Madhavan starrer ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ came about, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the release of the biographical project. While the release date hasn’t been officially announced yet, viewers can finally see what the film has in store for them as the trailer comes out on April 1. Madhavan, who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus a few days ago, took to his Instagram story to share the update on the trailer’s release.
The actor’s first look from the sets of the film that went viral a while ago caused quite a bit of intrigue and excitement among movie buffs. A source close to the film said: “We are excited to share the trailer of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect on April 1. The teaser of the film released in 2018 caught the attention of many. The film will see Madhavan in a new space and avatar that is sure to surprise the audience.”
The film, starring Madhavan in the title role, is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer for the Indian Space Research Organization who became entangled in an espionage scandal. The film has been widely edited and marks Madhavan’s debut as a director.

He has also written and produced the upcoming project. Touted as Madhavan’s greatest film ever, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will be released simultaneously in six languages: English, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
The actor shared on March 25 that he had tested positive for COVID-19. The actor who has worked with megastar Aamir Khan in ‘3 Idiots’ added a light-hearted twist to the news, using their characters’ reference to announce his COVID-19 diagnosis. Referring to the film, Madhavan had shared on Twitter: “Farhan MUST follow Rancho and Virus has always been after us BUT this time he damned caught up. But all is well and the Covid will be in the source soon. Although this there’s one place we don’t want Raju. Thanks for all the love. I’m recovering well.”
The actor was last seen in ‘Maara’, which was released on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year.
