Seasonal overviewSeason 1 ends with a cliffhanger that ends where Billy is murdered by Tommy and Campbell confronts Grace with a gun after she learns about her cheating. Season 2 reveals that Grace shot Campbell and left him at the station to die. But two years later, Campbell returns to town after surviving the accident and sustaining a leg injury. Grace’s murder crushes Tommy and he becomes entangled in a fleeting relationship with Tatiana. To get revenge on Grace’s murder, Tommy gets Vicente, but Arthur shot him to save him from Tommy’s torture.
To teach the Russians a lesson, Tommy, with the help of Alfie Solomons, plans a robbery to obtain real jewels who planned to cheat Tommy and give him forgeries – and have him killed. It turns out that Tatiana was part of the robbery all along, giving her shares to Vienne. When Tommy distributes the money to all family members, the police arrest them for being part of the robbery and Ada becomes the new head of the family business. On the other hand, Linda and Arthur have a baby, and Michael accepts Father Hughes’ abuse and how he ends up murdered.

Season overview: After arresting most of the Shelbys for Train Blast in Season Three, Tommy uses his power to release John, Arthur, Michael and Polly by blackmailing King George V. The show takes a 1 year leap and all family members get scattered. To exact revenge on Angel’s death, the dangerous mafia Luca Changretta arrives with his gang from New York and shot John, seriously injuring Michael. To save her son, Polly strikes a deal with Luca to help him kill Tommy, and Michael remains silent about this deal for the safety of his mother. But the roles turn against Luca when he learns that Polly and Tommy were constantly trapping him. They fake Arthur’s death to get Luca out and when Luca finally meets the Shelby family. Tommy reveals his plan and Arthur shot him.
The season ends with Tommy elected as the new Labor Representative for Birmingham South. Not only this he had a baby with Lizzie Stark.

Tommy is old and unable to carry out his plans, but he is thwarted by Michael, who makes a new business proposal for Shelby’s family business. Michael believes this Shelbys arms trade is outdated and so are Tommy’s methods and so he proposed a new model of drug smuggling in America by using the connection of his wife Gina. He also proposes to be the head of this chain, but Tommy refuses his plan.
To kill his most dangerous rival and politician Mosley, Tommy teams up with Abrema Gold & Barney. Not only this, but he also enlists the help of a trusted special someone “Alfie Solomon” who still lives in Margate. Tommy asks Alfie to give him some professional killers to kill Mosley. They plan to create chaos in Mosley’s speech and shot him in the middle of it, but the plan takes a shocking turnaround when Bartender Mickey Gibbs double crosses Tommy, resulting in the death of Barney & Abrema, leaving Mosley unharmed.
Tommy begins to hallucinate Grace and the horse he killed earlier. He’s starting to think his time is right and he’s too old to handle all these gunshots. He begins to hallucinate that Grace is asking him to leave everything behind because everything is settled, and now he has to end his life to be peaceful with Grace.
To end this mental torture, we see Tommy in the final scene of Peaky Blinders season 5, holding Gun to his sleep and screaming loudly. Will he end his life or will Tommy, as always, rise to the top?
