Pathemari (2015 film) Pathemari is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Ranjith Padoor and produced by P. R. K. V. Menon.[2] It stars Jayasurya, Reenu Mathews, Sheela, and T. G. Ravi in the lead roles.[3] The film, scripted by Anoop Menon, is based on the life of a real-life person, a fisherman from Kollam.[4] The film was released on 6 March 2015.[5] Plot Vijayan (Jayasurya) is a fisherman from Kollam. He is the eldest son of his family and has two younger sisters. Vijayan is very close to his father, who is the head of the family. Vijayan’s father has a heart attack and dies. Vijayan is devastated and his life changes completely. He has to take care of his family and work as a fisherman. He is married to Sheela (Reenu Mathews), who is a teacher. They have a son and a daughter. Vijayan is a good father and husband. He works hard to support his family. He also helps his neighbours. Vijayan is a kind and generous person. He is always ready to help others. One day, Vijayan’s brother-in-law, who is a fisherman, dies in a fishing accident. Vijayan’s sister is very upset and she blames Vijayan for her husband’s death. She says that Vijayan did not do enough to save her husband. Vijayan is very sad and he feels guilty. He tries to help his sister but she does not want his help. Vijayan’s sister eventually forgives him but their relationship is never the same. Vijayan’s father had a dream of building a temple for the local deity. Vijayan decides to fulfil his father’s dream. He starts working on the temple and he also starts a school for the children in the village. Vijayan is very successful in both his endeavours. He is a role model for the people in the village. He is a symbol of hope and inspiration. Vijayan’s life is not without problems. He has to deal with financial difficulties and he also has to deal with the prejudices of the people in the village. However, he never gives up. He is always positive and he always looks forward. Vijayan is a true hero. He is a man of courage, determination, and compassion. He is a role model for everyone.
