Amol Gupte, who has directed movies such as Stanley Ka Dabba and Hawa Hawai directs the film produced by Bhushan Kumar under his production house T-Series.
Saina has been in the news for a long time. Previously, Shraddha Kapoor would be the lead actress. However, she left the project due to scheduling issues and creative differences. Saina also stars Manal Kaul as Pullela Gopichand and Paresh Rawal as Harvir Singh Nehwal.
