History

The Potawatomi Nation of Wisconsin first began exploring the possibility of building a casino in East Peoria in the early 2000s. The tribe had been looking for a way to expand its gaming operations and East Peoria was seen as a desirable location due to its proximity to Chicago and its large population of Native Americans.

In 2005, the Potawatomi Nation of Wisconsin reached an agreement with the city of East Peoria to build a casino on land that was formerly owned by the city. The casino was completed in 2007 and opened to the public on May 1, 2007.
