This is a smaller update that comes with bottom end improvements and removes the Android security patch level
New Delhi: Smartphone brand OnePlus has started rolling out the latest October 2021 security patch for its OnePlus 7 series handsets.
This is a smaller update that comes with bottom-end improvements and removes the Android security patch level, GizChina reports.
The firmware versions for the OnePlus 7 Pro in the global market and Europe are 184.108.40.206.GM21AA and 220.127.116.11GM21BA respectively.
The vanilla OnePlus 7 will get 18.104.22.168.GM57AA and 22.214.171.124GM57BA as firmware versions in the global market and Europe respectively.
The update adds a new security patch, fixes the bug in the delayed incoming call interface, and improves system stability and increases the level of the security patch to October 2021.
The update is being rolled out in phases and will therefore be received by a limited number of users at the moment. A wider rollout will take place in a few days if no critical bugs are found. To check the update manually, go to the phone Settings > System > System Update.
Earlier, OnePlus announced that it will integrate the OxygenOS and ColorOS teams to plan the future software experience together.
OnePlus founder and Chief Product Officer for OPPO Pete Lau said they are working hard to create better products and a better experience for users.
According to Lau, last year when planning Android 12, the two teams already started to share a more similar commitment to the software experience.
