Ovation Hall is a 5,000-seat indoor arena located at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The venue opened in 2018 and is home to the Ocean Casino Resort Arena, a professional ice hockey team that competes in the American Hockey League (AHL). Ovation Hall also hosts a variety of other events, including concerts, comedy shows, and family shows.
History of Ovation Hall
Ovation Hall was originally constructed as a part of the Revel Casino Hotel, which opened in 2012. The casino filed for bankruptcy in 2014 and was sold to Glenn Straub in 2015. Straub renamed the casino to Revel Atlantic City and reopened it in 2016. However, the casino continued to struggle financially and was sold to Landry’s, Inc. in 2017. Landry’s renamed the casino to Ocean Casino Resort and reopened it in 2018.
Ovation Hall was originally known as the Revel Performing Arts Center. The venue was renamed to Ovation Hall in 2018, after Ocean Casino Resort acquired the naming rights.
Ovation Hall Today
Ovation Hall is currently the home of the Worcester Railers, an AHL team that relocated from Worcester, Massachusetts, in 2019. The Railers play their home games at Ovation Hall during the AHL season. Ovation Hall also hosts a variety of other events, including concerts, comedy shows, and family shows.
