Matt Riff Joins Ocean Casino as Chief Operating Officer
Ocean Casino Resort, Atlantic City, New Jersey, announced today that Matt Riff has joined the company as its new Chief Operating Officer. Riff brings more than 20 years of experience in the gaming industry to his new role, most recently serving as President and CEO of Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
In his new role, Riff will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Ocean Casino Resort’s operations, including gaming, food and beverage, and hotel. He will also be responsible for developing and implementing new strategies to grow the casino’s business.

Matt Riff’s Career in the Gaming Industry
Riff began his career in the gaming industry in 1999 as a dealer at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. He quickly rose through the ranks, and in 2006 he was named Vice President of Casino Operations at Mohegan Sun Pocono. In 2012, he was promoted to President and CEO of Mohegan Sun Pocono, a position he held until his departure in 2022.
During his tenure at Mohegan Sun Pocono, Riff oversaw the casino’s growth from a small casino with 500 slot machines and 10 table games to a major gaming destination with over 2,000 slot machines and 75 table games. He also played a key role in the development of Mohegan Sun Pocono’s new hotel, which opened in 2016.
Riff is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He is also a member of the American Gaming Association and the National Indian Gaming Association.
