The gender bender saeguk drama starring Kim Jung Hyun as the versatile monarch King Cheoljong and Shin Hye Sun as Kim So Yong, who has captured the soul of Blue House chef Jang Bong Hwan in her body, was so loved by fans! The show delivered cracking humor and ticklish laughter throughout the broadcast. In a recent interview, Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun discussed the show’s astonishing success and how they love the joy of laughter in viewers during these troubled times.
In an interview with Sports Trend via Soompi, Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun agreed that they love to make viewers laugh in these troubled times. Kim Jung Hyun said, “It was a great joy for me to be able to provide viewers with laughter in this difficult time, so much so that I couldn’t ask for anything more.” Shin Hye Sun also echoed a similar sentiment, saying she hopes viewers were able to forget about their stress and tension and smile in peace as they watched the drama. She also reminisced about filming for the show and how time flew by so quickly! She shared that playing Kim So Yong’s character allowed her to experience different kinds of challenges and experiences.
Kim Jung Hyun also personally asked viewers to enjoy his emotional ballad Like the first snow, for which he wrote the lyrics himself.
