1. SP Balasubrahmanyam

Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam, also known as SPB or Balu, was an accomplished Indian musician, playback singer, TV anchor, music director, actor, dubbing artist and film producer who mainly worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam films. .

On August 5, 2020, Balasubrahmanyam tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to MGM Healthcare in Chennai. Subsequently, his health deteriorated and he was transferred to the ICU in critical condition. Balasubrahmanyam tested negative for the coronavirus on September 7, 2020, but remained on the backing of ventilator and ECMO. He began to show signs of recovery, including moderate speech and physical activity. However, the hospital issued a statement on September 24 saying he was becoming “extremely critical” and was receiving “maximum life support.”

Balasubrahmanyam died on September 25, 2020 at 1:04 pm (IST) of cardiac arrest after being hospitalized for more than a month. He was buried with honors on September 26, 2020 at his farm in Tamaraipakam, Thiruvallur district.

2. Jaya Prakash Reddy

Jaya Prakash Reddy, affectionately known as JP, was an Indian actor who appeared mainly in Telugu movies. He came into the spotlight with the movie Samarasimha Reddy (1999), in which he played Veera Raghava Reddy. He has also appeared in other hit movies such as Jayam Manade Raa (2000) and Chennakesava Reddy (2002). Later in his career JP also played in many comedy roles. He died at his home in Guntur on September 8, 2020, at the age of 74, of serious cardiac arrest.

3. Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Raj Kapoor was a well known actor known for his work in Hindi movies. he made his debut in the film Mera Naam Joker (1970) by his father Raj Kapoor, for which he won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. As an adult, his first starring role was opposite Dimple Kapadia in the teenage novel Bobby (1973). Kapoor is considered one of the most successful actors in Bollywood history.

Kapoor married actress Neetu Singh in 1980, with whom he had worked in several films. The couple had two children: son, actor Ranbir Kapoor, and daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

Rishi was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018 and went to New York City for treatment. After a year of successful treatment, he returned to India on September 26, 2019. Due to breathing difficulties, he was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital on April 29, 2020. He died of leukemia on April 30, 2020.

4. Irrfan Khan

Sahabzade Irrfan Ali Khan has worked in Hindi cinema as well as British and American films. He is known as one of the best actors in Indian cinema. In 2011 he received the Padma Shri.

Khan married writer and fellow NSD graduate Sutapa Sikdar. It was a love marriage. They have two sons Babil and Ayan.

In March 2018, Khan took to his Twitter and revealed that he was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor. He sought treatment in the UK for a year and returned to India in February 2019.

He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on April 28, 2020, where he was treated for an intestinal infection. He died of the infection the next day. His mother Saeda Begum, aged 93, had died in Jaipur just four days earlier.

Saroj Khan

Saroj khan was an Indian dance choreographer in Hindi cinema. She was born in Bombay. She was best known for Dance Form Mujra and the first female choreographer in Bollywood. In her 40 years she has choreographed more than 3000 songs.

Saroj Khan was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai for breathing difficulties on June 17, 2020 and died of cardiac arrest on July 3, 2020.

Nawab Banoo, better known by her stage name Nimmi was an actress who rose to fame in Hindi films in the 1950s and early 1960s. Raj Kapoor is the one who changed her name from Nawab Banoo to “Nimmi”.
