The fundraiser for the construction of Ram Mandir is currently ongoing across the country and many celebrities associated with the film industry are also involved. The latest celebrity to do this was Mukesh Khanna, known from Mahabharat & Shaktimaan. The veteran actor expressed his joy when he contributed Rs 1.11 lakh to the cause.

Mukesh Khanna donates for the construction of Ram Mandir
Mukesh Khanna called himself ‘bujurgrho ke Pitamah’ and ‘bachchon ke Shaktimaan’, referring to his popular characters from Bhishma Pitamah in Mahabharat and Shaktiman being loved by two different generations as he introduced himself in the post. He shared a photo of handing the check to the member of the Legislative Assembly of his area, Atul Bhatkhalkar. Khanna made a donation of Rs 1,11,111.

Among the other members of the film industry who have been involved in this were Bharatiya Janta Member of Parliament Hema Malini and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.
The first had begun fund-raising campaigns in its Mathura constituency. She had posted pictures of her interaction with the donors.

Telugu movie superstar Pawan Kalyan had donated Rs 30 lakh for the temple. President Ram Nath Kovind was among the first to contribute by donating Rs 5 lakh, while West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar had also contributed the same amount.
The ride was started on January 15 and is expected to continue until February 27. According to reports, volunteers from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have aimed to reach 55 crore people (11 crore families) in 5 lakh villages, seeking donations for the initiative.
Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of the temple in a grand ceremony on August 5 last year.
