Laal Kaptaan trailer

Director Navdeep Singh has come up with his next venture, Laal Kaptaan, starring Saif Ali Khan as the Naga Sadhu. The 49-year old actor has left behind all the versatile actors of the Bollywood industry with his stunning appearance and amazing screenplay. The Hum Saath Saath Hain actor, after winning the hearts of the worldwide audience, is now exploring the character of a saint, thirsty for revenge.

The Laal Kaptaan trailer was launched yesterday, just after a day of the film’s poster launch and we can see the Pataudi Nawab doing such dreadful scenes. The trailer begins with a self-narration about the game of life and death, referring to Yamraaj, the Hindu God of Death.

In the next few glimpses of the trailer, we see Saif smearing his face with ashes, and dragging a dead man, tied to his horse throughout the town with revenge and anger in his eyes.

After Saif Ali Khan’s voice over subsides, we hear Sonakshi Sinha, who reveals how the world sees Naga Sadhu; nothing but a man who sticks to his prey and stays like that, till he is dead.

The cinematography of thick dreadlocks falling in the background, and intense music, matches up to the valour of the trailer.

However, the bit of Saif’s look that we came across, replicates much of Jack Sparrow from The Pirates of the Caribbean. When mentioned about it at a press conference the Sacred Games actor couldn’t help but laughed and disclosed the fact that his son, Ibrahim Pataudi, also drew the same reference on first seeing his picture of the look.

Later, the actor clarified that he didn’t intend to portray so and confirmed us about the fact, that the character does not bore any such resemblance.

On querying the producer, all he had to say was that the film is one of its kind and will surely generate a genre and narrative style of its own.
