JOSH LIPTON: And here’s what to watch on Thursday. Apple earnings are the big ticket item of the day, reporting after the bell after what has been a mixed bag of results so far from US tech giants. The company’s iPhone competition in China will give investors a glimpse into global consumer spending, in addition to insight around Apple’s services business. Earnings will come just days after CEO Tim Cook unveiled its latest MacBook Pro lineup, which bulls hope will boost softening demand.
We’ll also get earnings from Eli Lilly tomorrow, which comes as the stock has more than tripled in the last three years following the success and popularity of its weight loss and diabetes drug, Mounjaro.
