Showboat Casino History
Showboat Casino opened in 1987. It was the first casino to open on the Atlantic City Boardwalk in over a decade. The casino was an immediate success, and it quickly became one of the most popular casinos in Atlantic City.
In 2007, Showboat Casino was purchased by Harrah’s Entertainment. Harrah’s invested heavily in the casino, and it underwent a major renovation. The casino reopened in 2008, and it was even more successful than before.
