Is it worth watching Pokémon Master Journey: The Series?

Pikachu, Ash, and the entire series have been part of our lives since we were kids. When I heard the news that Netflix published “Pokemon Master Journey: The Series“I felt nostalgic. Going back to my childhood, I remember collecting Pokémon Trump cards, buying Pokeballs, and throwing them like a Pokémon would appear. I remember relapsing three or four times every episode and memorizing the names of all the Pokémon.

Don’t be fooled by looking at this title. A new Pokémon section has been published, but Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series is just a continuation of the Pokémon television series, which has been entertaining kids for over two decades. It has completed a run of more than 1,100 episodes and is now published on Netflix in three parts.

The twenty-fourth and current season of the Pokémon anime series, as well as the second season of Pokémon Journeys: The Series, known in Japan as Pocket Monsters, is Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series. The season premiered on TV Tokyo in Japan on December 11, 2020, and Teletoon and Télétoon in Canada on June 2021 and July 2021, respectively. Spoiler-free core of Pokémon Master Journey: The Series

The series begins with a scenario set in Kuchiba City, where a huge school-sized laboratory sits on a wide campus. An Eevee, a cute and attractive Pokémon, hesitates and farts while falling in love with a passing Slyveon, a more advanced, fairy counterpart to the Eevee.

Meanwhile, Goh and Chloe enter the classroom. Chloe, who has never caught a Pokémon and never made a Pokémon buddy, was the subject of their conversation. Just outside the campus hedge, Team Rocket – Jessie and James, as well as their Pokémon Meow and Wobbufet – hatch a plan to disguise themselves as students in order to hide and steal some Pokémon.

The Eevee successfully flees the lab, prompting a few assistants to look for her. Then there’s the embarrassing circumstance where Eevee meets a Yammer, and the two greet each other by sniffing each other’s buttocks and happily playing together. Team Rocket succeeds in their goal, catching a large number of Pokémon in their net as usual. As usual, Ash and Pikachu try to stop them, but they both end up in a trap set by Team Rocket.

Pikachu escapes from the clutches of the vicious Team Rocket and frees the captive Pokémon while eevee and Yammer team up to destroy Team Rocket. Finally everyone seems to be happy and cheerful, implying a happy ending.

Our review of Pokemon Master Journey: The Series

The first episode of Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series (not to be confused with Pokémon Journeys: The Series, Pokémon Masters: The Journey, or Pokémon Series: The Journey Masters of The Master Journey Series, which I may or may not have made up) digs deep into the interaction between humans and Pokémon. I joke that it’s a totalitarian master-slave relationship, but it seems to be more synergistic, with each person meeting the emotional, social, and pragmatic requirements of the other. It’s quite nice for the casual observer, as well as for Pokebiologists exploring this exquisite and complicated interaction on a deeper level.

Despite the fact that Chloe seemed to bond with the first Pokémon she stumbled upon to keep this story under 21 minutes, their encounter must be taking place on a subconscious molecular level that we don’t understand. making this meeting of souls inevitable. Team Rocket needs to understand how the trainer Pokemon connections work, but due to the corrupt nature of their collective mentality, they are unable to perform for themselves. Their excessive selfishness is undoubtedly the great irony that prevents people from enjoying a full life with their animal soul mates. As a result, they usually attack Ash and Pikachu – the incomparable duo is the purest.

People love Pokémon cartoons because they provide a glimpse into the human condition through an extremely complex conceptual metaphor. Surely it’s not just about seeing strange cute made up animals crowing and farting and getting excited to buy playing cards, stuffed animals and video games. To the more discerning eye, the concept of uncomplicated pleasure is rarely so simple.
