The film was scheduled to be released theatrically on 5 June 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Indoo Ki Jawani is all set to release on December 11, 2020.

Indoo Ki Jawani: Storyline
The plot revolves around the life of a daring woman, Indoo. Things take a brand new flip as she meets a man in life completely different. She begins seeing issues from a very unique approach.
Indoo Ki Jawani features Kiara Advani as Indira Gupta aka Indoo, a feisty girl from Ghaziabad who is on a quest for love. On her best friend Sonal’s (Mallika Dua) insistence, our heroine joins a dating app named Tinder.
However, Indoo’s wrong swipe on the app leads to the entry of Aditya Seal’s character. Things take a hilarious turn when she has mistaken him for a Pakistani terrorist and what follows next is madcap fun.

Director Abir Sengupta had urged audiences to wait for the film’s release in theatres rather than watch it on OTT platforms.

Kiara Advani’s Indoo Ki Jawani is a film that Bollywood fans were looking forward to for a long while, the marks have finally released the trailer.
Judging by the two-minute glimpse of the film, it seems to be a love story that develops from a comedy of errors. Kiara is playing the character of Indoo who’s looking for true love on a dating app.
On the advice from her know-it-all friend Sonal (Malika Dia), Indoo puts herself out there by joining a dating app.
In an unexpected twist, a Pakistani played by Aditya Seal ends up at her home.
All in all, the trailer does enough to get you excited for the film.
