Just give it a try. You never know where it could lead you, and you might end up enjoying it more than you expect. No pressure, just have fun and see where it takes you.

…going back to the 1966 World Cup final. Hopefully this group of lads can replicate them and lift a trophy for the country.

…there is too much negativity. No matter what you do or what stage of life you are in, there is just so much negativity. There aren’t enough people who are really positive.

6) If I could change one thing about football, it would be…

…no wind! That’s the worst thing when you’re in the goal. Also football politics.

7) If I could give my eight-year-old self one piece of advice, it would be…

…Whatever you do, do it as best you can. Whatever it is, whether it’s school, sports or something else, if you do it to the best of your ability, you won’t go far wrong.

8) If I could… talk to that kid who is considering joining the local team but isn’t sure, I would tell him…

…just do it. Just try it. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to continue, just give it a try because I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. You never know where it could lead you. We all started at a grassroots level and you never know where it can lead you. So go without pressure and just enjoy it with your friends.

…chocolate!

…that’s difficult, because I don’t really watch a lot of movies. I’ve seen a few movies with Liam Neeson, so I’m going with him.

…a singer, an athlete and someone else. So for the singer I would go with Robbie Williams as he would have a few stories and songs and I am currently watching his documentary. Conor McGregor because he would be quite entertaining and get it going. And then someone like Tom Holland, because I would like to know what it would be like to play a role like Spiderman.

…well, I’m not good at it, but I’d say an elite level golfer.

…Floyd Mayweather because he is at the highest level at what he does.
