The iconic American Idol competition series is entering its twentieth season after two decades of providing the world with exceptional entertainment.
The judges have been the same favorite trio since 2016: Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. Showrunner Trish Kinane says that “their chemistry is undeniable.” Of course, Ryan Seacrest will energetically host as he has since the show’s inception, traversing the country to find the next standout voices.
“Idol” was completely isolated last season, but it will be live again on Valentine’s Day. The show’s producers started looking for the next great singer through virtual auditions in August. Once a contestant received three green lights, they were moved to sing in front of the judges.
If you’ve already seen commercials for the upcoming season, you may know that Claudia Conway, daughter of Kellyanne Conway (adviser to former President Trump), will be a contestant this year. Claudia is notorious on social media for being outspoken against her parents’ political views, but will she also be known for her voice and get a golden ticket to Hollywood?
