Gold Strike Casino Tunica is a casino resort located in Tunica, Mississippi. The casino is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. It is the largest casino in Tunica County, and one of the largest casinos in the United States.

The casino features over 2,500 slot machines and table games, as well as a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. It also has a 125,000-square-foot (11,600 m2) spa and a 24-hour fitness center.

History

The Gold Strike Casino Tunica was opened in 1992 by the late Jack Binion. It was originally owned by Binion’s Horseshoe, but was sold to Harrah’s Entertainment in 1998. In 2005, Harrah’s Entertainment was acquired by Caesars Entertainment.

The casino has undergone several expansions over the years. In 2000, a new hotel tower was added, which increased the casino’s total number of rooms to 1,200. In 2011, a new gaming floor was added, which increased the casino’s total number of slot machines and table games.
