About Foreigner
Foreigner was formed in 1976 by Mick Jones and Lou Gramm. The band’s original lineup also included Ian McDonald, Al Greenwood, Dennis Elliott, and Rick Wills. Foreigner released their self-titled debut album in 1977, which spawned the hit singles “Feels Like the First Time” and “Cold as Ice.”
The band’s second album, “Double Vision,” was released in 1978 and was an even bigger success than their debut. The album included the hits “Head over Heels” and “Urgent.”
Foreigner continued to release successful albums throughout the 1980s, including “4” (1981), “Agent Provocateur” (1984), and “Inside Information” (1987). The band also scored several hits with songs like “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” “Say You Will,” and “I Want to Know What Love Is.”
Foreigner’s popularity began to decline in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band’s final album with Lou Gramm, “Unusual Heat,” was released in 1991. Gramm left the band shortly after the album’s release.
