DOM Season 2: Renewal status, release date and trailer

Amazon Prime has brought some amazing shows lately, and one of them is DOM, the Brazilian series that was released on June 4, 2021. The show follows a police officer named Victor, who is committed to a war on the drug trade and to help his son Pedro, a drug addict and the most wanted criminal in Brazil.

The binge watchers have already finished eight episodes and have developed a fondness for it. Now they’re wondering if the show will continue with seasons, so here’s everything we know so far.

DOM Season 2: Renewal Status

The season is first in line, and it’s not hard to guess that the network will take some time to analyze the show’s numbers and popularity to decide if they want to continue with more seasons. It’s only been a day, so we’re assuming we’ll have to wait at least a month before hearing an extension announcement.

Despite this, we think the creators have a plan to release more seasons in the pipeline, as the press release describing the season states “the first season of Dom with eight episodes.” Also, the first season does not end satisfactorily as we see Pedro escaping the police and driving off into the night, disappointing his father, Victor. The season also ends with a cliffhanger. We assume that such open endings left a lot of room for more seasons.

Since the show still hasn’t been revamped, it’s hard to guess a release date, but once the announcement is made, we’ll be sure to come up with more solid assumptions and speculation about a release date.
