Does Halo Infinite have split screen? How to use the function?

The Halo series was created with split screen play in mind. With few exceptions, each game features split-screen multiplayer for two or more players in the same room to team up against each other, against other players, or against the campaign’s AI-controlled aliens. Due to the lack of any kind of split-screen functionality, co-op or multiplayer, Halo 5 was a letdown for fans of the series. This has led many people to wonder if Halo Infinite has split screen?

Nothing compares to inviting a few friends over and battling aliens side-by-side. Today, split-screen is largely considered a forgotten pastime. Halo Infinite has been actively working to integrate many of the features previous games had since its release into two phases: multiplayer and then the campaign. While many new additions to this iconic first-person shooter game like Forge are still on the way, we already know if split-screen is present and usable in Halo Infinite or not.

Does Halo Infinite have split screen

You’ll be happy to learn that Halo Infinite has split-screen multiplayer and you can play with a friend, even though it’s missing many key modes. Split-screen, a multiplayer feature previously present in Halo Infinite, is guaranteed to satisfy all types of gamers. While the online component of the game is the main attraction, split-screen offers players the chance to play with friends on the same system at the same time.

Does Halo Infinite have split screen? How to use the function?

Halo Infinite split screen 2 players

While split-screen is a feature in Halo Infinite, it doesn’t work exactly as fans have come to expect from the days of couch co-op. Players can still team up on the same screen and compete against other teams in Halo Infinite multiplayer, but they cannot set up a PvP battle and compete against each other. It is also currently not possible to use a guest account to play Halo Infinite Multiplayer split-screen. Hopefully this will change in the future.

It’s important to remember that Xbox One only allows two players to play in split-screen multiplayer at a time. However, a four-player split-screen session is supported with an Xbox Series X|S. Split screen support is currently not available for Halo Infinite on PC. However, this may change, so follow the official social media sites for updates.

Halo Infinite’s other split-screen features, including Co-Op Campaign and Forge, are still on the horizon, but we don’t know when they’ll be available just yet. There’s already a bug that enables co-op play in the Halo Infinite campaign, but it’s not at all what you’d expect. We recommend waiting it out and asking for more details.
