We knew entering the legacies season 3 finale on The CW that things were going to get crazy – but how crazy did they get?
We suppose the first huge, breathtaking moment came when we realized Landon was possessed by Malivore. This character has been at the center of everything from the start, so we can’t be surprised that they’ve gone this way. this show Loves to torture this character – hey, at least he’s still alive, right? (We wonder what this possession means in terms of the Hope/Landon relationship and the timeline of events.)
Then everyone comes to terms with what Landon-as-Malivore did, plus the parts of the past that had already been forgotten. Lizzie and Josie hearing about Cleo’s demise wasn’t easy for them to realize, but they were able to get past it. (That said, it looks like Hope is on probation for friendship for a while.)
Now let’s go back to Cleo, because technically she hasn’t disappeared from the show. Being devoured by Malivore usually means being thrown into a world of madness and darkness. She found herself lost for the last few minutes of the episode — or at least until she saw a bright light. She ran towards it, but where “it” takes her is the real question mark for that character.
Before we could get an answer to her condition, the show quickly shifted and we spotted Landon. Or at least Malivore Landon. He was locked up in a case and clearly there’s no easy way out – that’s a good thing considering he’s incredibly dangerous. So how’s that for a cliffhanger? It feels like the show has the central villain in a place where he’s stuck, but you have to think early in season 4 that everything will turn upside down again.
