Cuties : Netflix admitted mistake and apologized after a huge ruckus on Netflix’s original French film ‘Cuties’.

The OTT platform has become a ruckus about Netflix’s original French film ‘Cuties’.

Some of the scenes shown in the film are being fiercely opposed to social media.

Because of this, Netflix has to admit its mistake and apologize. Through a poster released this week by the platform, people have targeted the platform. And said on social media that it is inappropriate to show children in the film.  This points to child sexual abuse.

Cuties’ is a French comedy-drama film about a girl raised in a cultural Muslim family in Senegal.

The girl is bound by her family’s customs but she wants to break the bondage and adopt the culture of this internet world and learn to dance.

She is an 11-year-old girl and joins a dance group. She is seen performing a provocative dance in a poster.

Cuties (French: Mignonnes) is a 2020 French coming-of-age comedy-drama film written and directed by Maïmouna Doucouré in her feature directorial debut.


The film stars Fathia Youssouf, Médina El Aidi-Azouni, Esther Gohourou, Ilanah Cami-Goursolas and Maïmouna Gueye.

Amy, an 11-year-old girl, joins a group of dancers named “the cuties” at school, and rapidly grows aware of her burgeoning femininity – upsetting her mother.
“We‘re deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used forMignonnes/Cuties,” –
– Netflix said in a statement.
“It was not OK, nor was it representative of this French film which won an award at Sundance. We’ve now updated the pictures and description.”
After Netflix apologized, some critics were still not happy, saying the problem was with the age of the children in the film.
“This is actually disgusting,” one woman wrote on Twitter. “11 year-olds twerking and the show is rated for mature audiences? Whoever came up with this idea needs to be fired and promptly arrested, and this whole thing needs to never see the light of day.”
