India has been badly affected by the second wave of COVID-19. With a massive increase in the number of cases across the country, most states have called for a lockdown or strict restrictions on people’s movement. Several states have also closed movie theaters amid the gulf.
Earlier this year, when there was a dip in COVID business, filmmakers had announced the release date of their films. However, due to the current situation, filmmakers have begun to postpone the release of their films again. The last to cancel their movie’s scheduled release is Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya. The film was to be released in theaters on May 13.
The Konidela Production Company tweeted and wrote, “Given the pandemic situation, the # Acharya movie will not be released on May 13th. A new release date will be announced once the situation returns to normal. Wear a mask, stay home and stay safe! #AcharyaPostponed. The film is reportedly due out in mid-July or early August.
