HPSC HCS Mains Exam: Based on the result of the preliminary examination, candidates will be admitted to the main examination twelve (12) times the number of posts advertised, including candidates in parentheses, if applicable, in order of merit.

Personality Test / Hands Free: The candidate is interviewed by a board. He/she is asked questions about matters of general interest. The purpose of the interview is to assess the candidate’s suitability for a career in the public service by a board of competent and unbiased observers.
