History
Castaways Casino Las Vegas was originally built in 1963 as the Castaways Hotel and Casino. The casino was owned and operated by the Binion family until 1988, when it was sold to Bally’s Corporation. In 1998, Bally’s Corporation was acquired by Harrah’s Entertainment. In 2005, Harrah’s Entertainment was acquired by Caesars Entertainment. In 2015, Caesars Entertainment was acquired by Eldorado Resorts. In 2017, Eldorado Resorts was acquired by Boyd Gaming Corporation.
