Casino Royale (2006 DVD)
The Story
James Bond (Daniel Craig) is a newly minted 00 agent who is sent to Madagascar to investigate a terrorist named Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen). Le Chiffre is funding his terrorist activities by gambling at casinos, and Bond is tasked with bankrupting him at the tables.
Bond travels to Montenegro, where he meets Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), a British Treasury agent who is helping him with the operation. Bond and Vesper develop a romantic relationship, but Bond soon learns that she is working for Le Chiffre.
Bond is captured by Le Chiffre and tortured, but he manages to escape. He returns to the casino and defeats Le Chiffre at the poker table, bankrupting him and foiling his plans.
The Cast
Daniel Craig stars as James Bond in his first appearance in the role. Eva Green plays Vesper Lynd, the British Treasury agent who helps Bond on his mission. Mads Mikkelsen plays Le Chiffre, the terrorist financier who is Bond’s main adversary. Judi Dench reprises her role as M, the head of MI6.
