Bordertown Casino and Arena is a casino and arena located in the town of Bordertown, Texas. The casino is owned and operated by the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas, and the arena is home to the Bordertown Bandits of the Western Hockey League.
History
The Bordertown Casino and Arena was built in 2006 as part of a larger development project that included a hotel, shopping mall, and other businesses. The casino was the first casino to open in Texas since the passage of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988.
The arena opened in 2007 and is home to the Bordertown Bandits of the Western Hockey League. The Bandits are a member of the Mountain Division of the WHL’s Western Conference.
