On Monday, the Bombay Supreme Court decided not to quash an FIR filed against Priyanka Singh, the sister of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Priyanka has reportedly forged and made up a medical prescription for her actor brother.
Meanwhile, a divisional bench of Justices SS Shinde and MS Karnik destroyed an FIR against Meetu Singh, SSR’s other sister. The court stated that the case against Meetu Singh is canceled. However, there was prima facie evidence against Priyanka and thus the FIR against its stands.
Sushant’s sisters had approached the Supreme Court to quash the FIR against them for allegedly forging and concocting their brother’s medical prescription. According to Rhea, Sushant’s sisters and the doctor prepared a forged and fabricated antidepressant prescription for Dil Bechara’s actor a few days before his death.
The Singh sisters’ counsel, Vikas Singh, argued that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rajput could not go for a physical consultation. That is why they chose to go for an online consultation. He further stated that although the prescription has been obtained, there is no evidence that the actor took the drugs.
However, senior adviser Devdutt Kamat, who appeared before Mumbai police, had objected to the plea, saying there was no online consultation. Rhea’s attorney Satish Maneshinde also opposed the Sushant sisters’ plea, saying that one of the reasons for Sushant’s death was the “ dangerous cocktail of drugs, narcotics and drugs. ”
Rajput was found dead in his Bandra home on June 14, 2020. He was only 34 years old. Sushant’s father later filed a case of complicity in suicide and cheating against Rhea and her family members. The
