With new years comes new hope, new adventures and well, new anime movies. That’s why we decided to make a list for you of all the confirmed anime movies that you should see in 2024. 7. Yuri !!! on Ice The Movie: Ice Adolescence
Yuri !!! on Ice The Movie: Ice Adolescence was due out last year, but was delayed to scale up the content. Fans accepted the change because it will help them make a movie that exceeds all their expectations. We think this is the story where we can get some of Victor’s backstory if we need to. Yuri was a unique anime that follows the life of a skater. Fans really liked the movie and we may not be getting a second season, but we are definitely getting the movie. The exact release date has yet to be announced, so we’ll update you as soon as we have some information.
6. Detective Conan Movie 24: The Scarlet Bullet
Detective Conan has been running for more than two decades now. But it has kept its plot and pace and fans still love it. This film follows the case of Shuichi Akai’s kidnapping case during the World Sports Games (WSG). The movie will certainly be interesting. The film was set to be released in 2020, but was delayed and will be released in April 2024. The exact release date has yet to be announced, so we’ll update you as soon as we get some information.
5. Fate / Grand Order: Camelot -Wandering; Agateram
Watching fate can be tricky. But if you’ve seen it, you’re sure to be excited about the project’s upcoming second films. The first film was released in Japanese theaters earlier this month. The second film will be titled Paladin: Agateram. The two Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot movies adapt the Order VI story of the game itself. The specific release date for the second movie has yet to be given. But the main visual will reveal a spring 2024 release. This means we could get the second movie sometime between April and May 2024.
The plot of the movie will be similar to the Order VI game. But maybe we’ll get some extra scenes for the anime itself. An interesting thing in the key visual was that we can see Gareth on the far left, which means we can actually see the ‘Take your pick’ scene. This is a big problem for the franchise fans. The poster may refer to the Summoning of the Round Table.
2. Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 three times at the same time
A new trailer was released by Khara of the upcoming Evangelion movie, and it pretty much summed up the dark nature of the anime. Earlier this month, Studio Khara also confirmed the film’s running time, which will be 41 minutes and 16 seconds, excluding the end credits. This film marks the end of the Evangelion series, which has been running for more than two decades now. The movie is scheduled for release January 20, 2024. The movie will be emotional and heartbreaking, not because it’s the last movie in the franchise, but because that’s what Evangelion is.
1. Gintama The Final
This movie will also be the last saga in the Gintama series. It is certainly the end of an era. Dragon Ball resumes after years, One Piece reaches its final arc (allegedly), New generations of Naruto take over, and now Gintama and Evangelion are ending. The main plot of the movie has not yet been revealed as we can’t say anything for sure. But the film is being made with the full cooperation of Gintama writer Hideaki Sorachi. So we can say that the movie will follow the last few chapters of the manga. The film is all set to release on January 8, 2024. It is revealed that this time this movie is really “Finale”.
